Job description

We are looking for a Component Manager to join our team as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • Collaboration in the calculation team for creating offers for new customers with new products, existing customers, and relocations within the Neways Group

  • Checking the request documents for completeness

  • Supplier selection for price inquiries

  • Requesting and negotiating prices and conditions of electronic components and other parts with manufacturers and suppliers, as well as prices for new machines, assembly lines, etc. with the relevant departments

  • Finding alternative components or suppliers in case of supply shortages

  • Consolidation of all material prices in the material calculation sheet for creating product calculations and offers to the customer

  • Master data entry in component databases (PLM) and in the ERP system (Baan)

  • Initial procurement of components and parts as well as master data maintenance

  • Close collaboration with the Strategic Purchasing, Operational Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and Quality departments

  • Customer support on purchasing topics (prices, availabilities, etc.)

Job requirements

Your profile

  • Technical degree, e.g. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar, or a comparable qualification

  • Good written and spoken English skills

  • Confident and friendly demeanor, teamwork, independent work style

  • Communication and persuasion skills, organizational ability

  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness

  • A strong understanding of quality

  • Very good knowledge of the procurement market for electronic components

  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office), ERP system
