Manager Test Engineering

As Manager Test Engineering, you are responsible for the daily leadership of your team. You ensure that targets related to quality, delivery reliability, safety, and productivity are achieved. At the same time, you create a work environment where employees can develop, collaborate, and perform at their best.

You are visible on the work floor, encourage ownership, and know how to coach and motivate people. Through your clear communication and future-oriented vision, you contribute to the continued development of both the team and the organization.

You will be part of the Engineering Management Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. Together with fellow managers, you lead the complete engineering organization and help define the strategic direction of Engineering. In this role, you work closely with the Manager Account Engineering, Customer Focus Teams, Unit Managers and your colleagues within the Engineering Management Team.

In addition, you have:

• A completed Bachelor's degree (HBO level), preferably in a technical field;

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role;

• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;

• Experience in coaching and developing employees;

• Strong communication skills and a natural leadership style;

• A clear vision on team development and organizational growth;

• Decisiveness and the ability to provide clear direction;

• Knowledge of electronics and test strategies, which is considered a strong advantage and will help you succeed quickly in this role.

Your daily responsibilities include

• Ensuring that departmental activities are completed on time and meet quality standards;

• Actively contributing to process optimization initiatives;

• Developing and improving departmental processes;

• Ensuring compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations;

• Leading, coaching, and developing your team;

• Building, developing, and strengthening a high-performing team;

• Achieving operational objectives related to quality, safety, and productivity;

• Driving employee performance through activities such as annual performance reviews and personal development plans;

• Creating a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and ownership;

• Identifying improvement opportunities and initiating improvement projects;

• Ensuring efficient workforce planning and optimal deployment of employees;

• Acting as the primary contact for team members and project-related matters.
