  • On-site, Hybrid
    • Echt, Limburg, Netherlands
  • Quality
  • Direct support, NCWS

Start your career in Quality, build strong customer relationships, and learn how to turn quality issues into sustainable improvements in an international high-tech environment.

Job description

Neways Cable & Wire Solutions (NCWS) Echt specialises in the development, industrialisation, assembly, and testing of advanced cable systems and connectivity solutions for the international high-tech industry. From our site in Echt, we develop innovative solutions for the semiconductor, medical, and safety & security sectors. Our complex cable assemblies and ultra-clean connectivity solutions are used in advanced machines and systems worldwide.

At NCWS Echt, you will become part of a professional and close-knit organisation where quality, craftsmanship, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. Thanks to our short communication lines, you will quickly take on responsibility and have plenty of opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, and drive improvements. At the same time, you benefit from the international strength of the Neways Group and collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines and locations.

This is how you make impact

As a Junior Customer Quality Engineer, you will develop into one of the quality contacts for our customers. You will learn how to assess, register, coordinate, and carefully follow up customer complaints. Together with experienced colleagues, you ensure customers are kept informed in a timely and professional manner about progress and resolution.

Step by step, you will take on more responsibility for the complaint process. You will coordinate with colleagues within NCWS Echt, suppliers, and our production site NSK in Slovakia. You will learn how to request root cause analyses and corrective actions, assess their content, and translate the key conclusions into clear customer communication.

For more complex technical analyses, you work closely with Account Engineering, Quality, and other specialists within the Customer Focus Team (CFT). You help bring structure, monitor actions and deadlines, and ensure the right colleagues are involved at the right time.

In this role, you do not need to have all the technical answers from day one. What matters most is that you are curious, ask the right questions, maintain oversight, and are eager to learn how quality, logistics, production, and customer expectations connect.

As you grow in the role, you will also become involved in RFQs, proposals, and New Product Introductions. You will learn to understand customer requirements and quality expectations at an early stage and assess together with the team whether Neways can deliver them in the right way.

This is what we offer you

You will join an international high-tech organisation where innovation, quality, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. At NCWS Echt, you will work in an open and informal environment where colleagues know each other, communication lines are short, and initiative is highly valued.

As a Junior Customer Quality Engineer, you will be given the time and support to learn the role step by step. You will work alongside experienced Quality Engineers and colleagues within the Customer Focus Team and receive guidance in developing your knowledge of quality, customer management, and our manufacturing processes.

The combination of a specialised manufacturing site and the international strength of the Neways Group gives you responsibility from the start and excellent opportunities to develop into a fully qualified Customer Quality Engineer.

In addition, we offer:

  • A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience;

  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;

  • Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partly from home;

  • Intensive guidance and plenty of opportunities to learn on the job;

  • Training and development opportunities in quality, technology, and personal development;

  • Excellent career opportunities within Quality and other disciplines across Neways;

  • A competitive pension scheme;

  • Holiday allowance;

  • Travel reimbursement;

  • An attractive bicycle plan.

This is what you bring to the team

You are customer-focused, eager to learn, and communicatively strong. You enjoy bringing structure, following up actions, and making sure agreements are kept. Even when several topics require your attention at the same time, you stay calm and maintain oversight.

You do not need to be an experienced Quality Engineer yet. We are mainly looking for someone who is curious about technology and quality, connects easily with people, and is motivated to learn how to guide customers professionally through quality-related topics.

You are not afraid to ask questions and know when to involve the expertise of colleagues. You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment and can work effectively with different personalities, priorities, and international contacts.

Additionally, you bring:

  • HBO level of working and thinking, for example through a technical, business, logistics, or quality-related education;

  • You are a graduate or have up to approximately three years of relevant work experience;

  • Experience in customer contact, quality, production, logistics, or a technical environment is an advantage, but not a requirement;

  • Interest in quality methodologies such as 8D and FMEA and the motivation to develop your knowledge in these areas;

  • A structured, accurate, and proactive way of working;

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect easily with others;

  • A stress-resistant mindset and the ability to set priorities;

  • Good command of English;

  • Good command of Dutch is strongly preferred; German is an advantage;

  • Affinity with semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or the ASML ecosystem is an advantage.

Job requirements

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Assessing, registering, and coordinating customer complaints under the guidance of experienced colleagues;

  • Monitoring actions, deadlines, and progress across ongoing complaint cases;

  • Maintaining contact with customers throughout the complaint process;

  • Coordinating with colleagues within NCWS Echt and our production site NSK in Slovakia;

  • Requesting and following up root cause analyses and corrective actions;

  • Reviewing analyses and improvement actions together with experienced colleagues;

  • Coordinating the technical resolution with Account Engineering, Quality, and other disciplines;

  • Supporting customer audits, Business Reviews, and Voice of Customer discussions;

  • Contributing to customer-specific quality improvement plans;

  • Supporting New Product Introductions and RFQ/proposal processes;

  • Actively contributing to structural quality improvements;

Developing your knowledge of quality methodologies, customer communication, and working in an international high-tech manufacturing environment.
