In this role, you glue, coat, assemble, and inspect printed circuit boards with electronic components and mechanics. As a Gluing and Coating Employee, you work accurately and have a strong eye for detail. You are comfortable working according to clear instructions and quality standards, while taking action when you notice something unusual. You communicate easily with colleagues and proactively involve your team leader, Quality or Engineering when questions or quality issues arise. You also have basic computer skills for tasks such as e-mail, entering data and processing photos.

Job requirements

Your daily responsibilities include

As a Gluing and Coating Employee, you are responsible for carefully assembling, gluing and coating printed circuit boards. You work according to work instructions, drawings and IPC standards and use equipment such as a dispenser, hand and measuring tools, and coating machines. Accuracy is essential: you inspect your own work and assess each process step with a strong focus on quality.

 

You place printed circuit boards in product-specific fixtures, manually apply different types of glue and apply coating both manually and by machine. You also perform assembly work, repair deviations from the gluing process and register identified errors in the system. When questions or deviations arise, you consult your team leader and colleagues from Quality or Engineering. After an onboarding period of approximately three months, you are expected to independently perform straightforward gluing, coating and assembly tasks and proactively ask for support when needed.

 

Your responsibilities also include:

  • Masking printed circuit boards to prevent glue residue;

  • Assembling and inspecting parts according to IPC standards, work instructions and drawings;

  • Manually applying different types of glue and applying coating both manually and by machine;

  • Inspecting applied glue, assembly steps, materials and products for damage and defects;

  • Performing a final inspection using a checklist before an order is sent to packaging or the customer;

  • Registering errors, worked hours and production-order hours in the designated systems;

  • Contributing to an orderly and clean workplace and to agreements regarding 5S, environment, ESD, quality and planning.
