Safeguard the quality of advanced microelectronics, work independently in our high-tech cleanroom, and grow your career within Quality at Neways NEXT.

Job description

This is how you make impact

As a Quality Inspector, you perform inspection and testing activities to ensure that materials and products meet applicable product, process, and quality requirements. You carry out visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, semi-finished products, and finished products, and ensure accurate documentation of measurement results and quality records.

You are an important link in our First Time Right manufacturing process. You look beyond simply identifying deviations. By feeding quality findings back to operators and working together on improvements, you actively contribute to First Time Right production and help prevent issues from recurring. When you identify a deviation, you take action, involve the right colleagues, and support the handling of quality issues and complaints.

All activities in this role take place in the cleanroom. At our Echt site, you work closely with the Quality Coordinator while having a high degree of independence in organising and carrying out your work. As the QESH Manager also supports other Neways locations, it is important that you take ownership, set priorities, and pick up tasks independently.

This is what we offer you

You will join a challenging role within a dynamic and professional high-tech manufacturing environment where your accuracy, initiative, and quality mindset make a visible difference. Thanks to the compact organisation at our Echt site, communication lines are short and you will be given a high level of responsibility and autonomy.

You will have plenty of opportunities to further develop your knowledge of electronics, quality processes, and inspection methods. If you want to grow your career, Neways offers development opportunities towards roles such as Quality Engineer or Production Quality Engineer.

In addition, we offer:

  • A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience;

  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;

  • A day-shift schedule;

  • Training and development opportunities to further enhance your knowledge and skills;

  • An attractive bicycle plan;

  • A competitive pension scheme, holiday allowance, and travel reimbursement;

  • An on-site role in Echt; working from home is not possible for this position;

  • Occasional travel to Son or another Neways location may be required.

This is what you bring to our team

You are accurate, quality-conscious, and comfortable working independently. You are confident in your communication and connect easily with colleagues on the production floor. When quality or working methods require attention, you know how to address this in a constructive and coaching way.

You do not limit yourself to one area of responsibility, but independently pick up tasks where needed. You are curious about the technical background of our products and motivated to further develop your knowledge of electronics and quality.

Additionally, you bring:

  • MBO level of working and thinking, preferably in a technical field;

  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, product specifications, work instructions, and related quality documentation;

  • Experience in inspection, quality, or manufacturing is an advantage;

  • Experience with or affinity for working with measuring and test equipment and correctly interpreting and documenting measurement results;

  • Affinity with electronics, microelectronics, and technical manufacturing processes, together with the motivation to further develop your product and material knowledge;

  • An independent, proactive, and accurate way of working;

  • Strong social and communication skills and a true team mindset;

  • Good command of Dutch is strongly preferred. Excellent English-speaking candidates may also be considered;

  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment on a daily basis.

Your team

Your home base will be Echt. At this location, you work closely with the Quality Coordinator. The wider QESH organisation consists of approximately 12 colleagues across locations including Echt and Son. This gives you access to broader expertise within Neways while you take a high level of ownership for your own activities in Echt.

Job requirements

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, semi-finished products, and finished products in accordance with applicable product specifications, drawings, and quality criteria;

  • Verifying material certificates and test reports provided by suppliers;

  • Performing and documenting inspections and tests within the cleanroom;

  • Preparing and maintaining measurement and test reports and product certificates;

  • Working with appropriate measuring and test equipment and correctly interpreting and documenting measurement results;

  • Maintaining quality-related records and documentation;

  • Identifying, registering, and where necessary blocking non-conforming materials, components, and products, and ensuring proper follow-up of non-conformities;

  • Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to support First Time Right manufacturing;

  • Actively contributing to continuous improvements in quality, processes, and ways of working.
